MISHWA is a beautiful example of a well cared for boat. Her brightwork is in great condition, as is her hull and deck.
She is equipped with a 6 kW Oceanvolt, electric, sail drive, inboard motor. This provides the equivalent of 8 hp of auxiliary power while the feathering propeller folds under sail for reduced drag.
The Stuart Knockabouts are sturdy boats and SK 52 is a prime example. In 2008, while sailing in Canada, she was knocked down by sudden tornado strength winds. She righted herself and got her solo captain safely back to his marina, which lost its roof in the 120+ mph winds.
Stuart Knockabouts are used in PHRF racing and there are class races here in Cataumet. These easy and wonderful sloops have even been placed on large vessels and mega yachts for a fun daysailing option when at port.
